Applications are invited from suitably qualified candidates for Postgraduate Research Studentships<\/strong> to work at the Clean Energy Research Laboratory, University of Jaffna<\/strong> and Western Norway University of Applied Sciences, Norway.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Selected candidates will be required to register and work full-time towards an MPhil degree in Physics at the University of Jaffna. The role involves conducting research on nanomaterials for clean energy and\/or health applications, preparing progress reports and research publications, and supporting research supervisors in all project-related activities.<\/p>\n

Required Qualifications and Experience:<\/strong><\/h5>\n

(a) A Bachelor of Science Honours degree in Physics<\/em> with a minimum GPA of 3.0,
\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0OR
(b) A Bachelor of Science degree with Physics as a subject<\/em> and an MSc in Material Physics<\/em>.<\/p>\n

Candidates awaiting the results of their final Honours degree examinations in Physics, with a current GPA of not less than 3.0<\/strong>, are also eligible to apply, provided that the grades are certified by the relevant authority.<\/p>\n

Priority will be given to the applicants who experience in research involving advanced materials for clean energy and\/or health-related applications.<\/p>\n

Remuneration:<\/strong><\/h5>\n

Rs. 60,000\/- per month<\/strong> (fixed)
MPhil registration fee can be reimbursed.<\/p>\n

Duration:<\/strong><\/h5>\n

24 months<\/strong> (two years)<\/p>\n

Based on satisfactory performance, candidates will be eligible for a scholarship to undertake research for up to one year<\/strong> at the laboratories of the Western Norway University of Applied Sciences, Norway<\/strong>.<\/p>\n
